Max Holloway, a Hawaiian with Samoan and English roots, was born and raised in Hawaii, in the city of Waianae. He became interested in fighting from school, and it became his life's work. Many experts consider him the favorite in featherweight fights. He is technically excellent, and his fights are filled with emotion and an uncompromising fighting spirit. On December 10, 2016, Holloway won a brutal knockout over Anthony Pettis at UFC 206 to win the interim UFC featherweight title. Since then, he has entered tournaments several times, and most of his fights have ended in victory.
Cyril Gane and Alexander Volkov will compete in the heavyweight division at UFC 308, and Magomed Ankalaev and Aleksandar Rakic will compete in the light heavyweight division.
