The long-awaited UFC 308 tournament will take place in Abu Dhabi on October 26
The main event of the evening will be a fight between Iliya Topuria and Max Holloway. Topuria, the current champion, will meet former titleholder Holloway to determine who will hold the prestigious title next year.
There are also three other exciting fights in store. In the middleweight division, Robert Whittaker will face Khamzat Chimaev. Chimaev, who is aiming for the title, is considered the favorite, but Whittaker, a former champion, will not give up the victory without a fight. Chimaev has already had the opportunity to fight for the title, but his attempts against Gilbert Burns and Kamaru Usman were unsuccessful. We will see how his meeting with Whittaker goes.
The heavyweight fight between Cyril Gane and Alexander Volkov has been postponed due to Volkov’s injury in training. The two will now face off at UFC 310 in Las Vegas on December 7. It is not yet known who will replace them at the October event, and the UFC has not yet made an official statement.
Magomed Ankalaev will face Aleksandar Rakic in the light heavyweight division. Rakic, who recently knocked out Jiri Prochazka, is now preparing to face the current champion Ankalaev. Despite rumors that the fight might be canceled, the UFC has confirmed that the bout will take place.
Tickets are also available for UFC 310, where Islam Magomedov will rematch Arman Tsarukyan to retain his lightweight title.
