On June 21, the Baku Crystal Hall will host a spectacular event for all fans of mixed martial arts – the UFC Fight Night 260 tournament.

The organizers have already revealed some of the expected fights. In one of the key light heavyweight bouts, Jamaal Hill and Khalil Rountree will meet. As of 2025, Hill's statistics are impressive: 12 wins, 3 losses and no draws in professional MMA fights. For his numerous knockout victories, he received the nickname "Sweet Dreams". Interestingly, he came to martial arts at the age of nineteen, starting with a free aikido course under the guidance of coach Chad Pomeroy in Michigan. A short time later, Hill made a name for himself in the amateur arena, stunning opponents with powerful punches. He began his professional career in 2017 and became the UFC champion five years later.

His opponent, Khalil Rountree, also deserves attention. Known as “War Horse,” he holds the third-most knockouts in UFC history in the light heavyweight division with seven. Rountree had a difficult childhood, growing up without a father and struggling with his weight. However, everything changed when he saw a TV show about fighters in his 20s and decided to change his life by taking up martial arts. Within six years, he was competing for a spot in the UFC on “The Ultimate Fighter” finals. His most iconic victory was his victory over Paul Craig at “UFC Fight Night: Nelson vs. Ponzinibbio” in 2017. Outside of sports, Rountree enjoys music and dancing, being a fan of the band “Village People,” and also enjoys spending time with his dog Bruce. His fighting style is unique and inspires many to follow their dreams, especially among the black youth of America.
